DRC is open for all European S2 drivers.
There will be a Super-Pole, a sprint race and a main race. Sprint is 15 min and main is 45 min.
The Cup will always start on Tuesdays at 20.30 CEST (Central European Summer Time) - (19.30 British Summer Time – 18.30 GMT ).
It ends around 22.15 CEST (21.15 BST).
As always this Cup is being made for pure fun.
Therefore there are not many rules because I expect everyone to know how to race and behave on a race track.
You will find the results, standings and replays here:
http://www.LFS-Events.de
All times are Central European Summer times (CEST).
This is the time table for ALL future races in DRC:
Super-Pole at 20.30 (be on the server before this time- server will be open before this time - App. at 20.00)
Super-Pole ends at 21.10
Sprint race starts at 21.13 and ends at 21.28.
Main race will start at 21.30 and will ends at 22.15
General Rules:
Drive clean and fair.
Track conditions:
- No wind on and racing in daylight.
Chatting:
- It’s only allowed to chat during the Super-Pole – you can use “block” if you don’t want to see the chat
- No chatting during the sprint or main races – not even smilies!
- If you chat in a race before the last driver crossed the finish line you’ll get a 2 sec. time penalty for every chat-line you do.
Disconnection:
- If you got a disconnection during the race you can not rejoin the race but you can spectate and join the next race.
Reset:
- You can reset your car if you are on the roof/side or stuck in the sand, but DON’T do near other cars (wait till the track is safe).
Qualifying Session (Super-Pole):
-You can chat or disconnect during the Super-Pole session.
- Every Driver goes to spectate-mode first.
- Do not join the Super-Pole until the Admin calls your name.
- The starting order in Super-Pole is Admin choice and will be given to you in the E-mail you’ll get the day before the race.
- Super-Pole = you got a warm up lap and then 1 fast lap that counts.
- When you finished your fast lap you must go to SPECTATOR mode in a hurry.
Yellow and Blue Flags:
- Respect the yellow and blue flags.
- No overtaking during Yellow flag (except the car/s that caused the yellow Flag).
- If you accidentally passed someone under yellow, you must let him pass you again ASAP!
- Drivers must use caution and be prepared to slow down under Yellow Flag conditions.
- When the Yellow Flag disappears from your screen you can overtake again.
- When you got a Blue Flag let the faster car/s pass you easily as fast as possible.
Race Starts:
- There will be “lag-lap” in both races.
- Remember to close all unnecessary programs and websites in the background (like MSN, LFS World etc.) before you race! Because these things take away a bit of your Internet bandwidth and this could cause lag (timeouts) for you and the other racers on a server.
- There are no restarts of the race - no matter what.
- Race 1 (Sprint Race) starting order is the result from Super Pole qualifying.
- Race 2 (Main Race) starting order is the result from Race 1, but the first 8 drivers are starting in reversed order. #1 in Sprint Race will start as #8, #2 will start as #7 and so on.
Pit Stops:
- There is a forced pit-stop in the Main race. Don’t do the forced pitstop on the first 3 laps or the last 3 laps – you can of course do a pistop if your car is damaged, but you can`t do the forced pitstop outside the “pit-window”.
- Pitting in another way (i.e. shift+s) then driving into the pits during a race will result in a disqualification.
The success-ballast rule:
- We will have weight penalties in the DRC. We call it “success-ballast”. That means the first three drivers overall in each round, must add a front seat passenger for the next round. They must drive with it for a round and if they don’t finish inside the top three again they can remove it for the next round.
Race Penalties summary:
- If you come to late and join after the Super-Pole has started = Your starting position will be the end of the grid.
- You forgot your success-ballast = Disqualification (DSQ) for that race.
- Wrong Passing under Yellow (and don’t give the place back immediately) = You’ll placed behind the driver you passed in the final results of that race (be warned If he DNF you also DNF because you’ll be placed behind him!).
- Ignoring the Blue Flag for more then 2 corners = Disqualification (DSQ) for that race.
- Pitting in another way (i.e. shift+s) then driving into the pits during a race = Disqualification (DSQ) for that race.
- Pitting outside the “pit-window” will also result in a Disqualification (DSQ) for that race.
- If you chat in a race before the last driver crossed the finish line you’ll get a 2 sec. time penalty for every chat-line you do.
- Rejoining a race/ Joining an ongoing race will also end in a DSQ
- All other things that are actually not in this list can of course be penalized by the Admins after the race (i.e. reckless driving, pushing someone out of his pit, etc.)
